Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and iMeetPlace LLC ("iMeetPlace", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the iMeetPlace app or website you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use iMeetPlace.

What changed in this version: paid plans and prices (monthly and annual billing, automatic renewal and how to cancel), Founding prices and how they are kept, the Venue Access trial for new venues, notice before a price change, VIP, Boost and Language Assist passes, refunds, and free selfie verification for every People member (sections 4 to 7 and 12).

1. Who can use iMeetPlace

You must be 18 or older, able to enter a binding agreement, and not previously removed from iMeetPlace. Business accounts must be authorised to act for the venue they claim.

2. Your account

Keep your sign-in private and tell us about any unauthorised use. One account per person. Give accurate information, use recent photos of yourself, and keep your profile up to date. People members verify their profile with a selfie as described in section 5.

3. Community rules

Be respectful. You agree not to:

We may remove content, limit features or close accounts that break these rules, at our discretion and without notice where safety requires it.

4. Meets, check-in and reliability

A Meet is a plan between members at a real place. Accepting an invite is a commitment. iMeetPlace records check-ins, verified Meets, cancellations and afterward ratings, and shows each member's rating, number of Meets and Show Rate. Missed Meets and late cancellations may temporarily limit what you can do (for example how far ahead you can plan). These measures exist to keep Meets real and are applied as described in the app.

A Meet plan is a social plan between the people going. A table request or reservation at a venue is separate: the venue page shows before you send it whether the venue takes requests, and a request is not a confirmed reservation until the venue confirms it. Free members can organise the number of Meets a month shown in the app; Plus and Pro have no monthly Meet limit.

5. Safety and selfie verification

People members verify their profile with a selfie after adding three profile photos. Selfie verification and the verified checkmark are included at no charge with every plan; paying for a plan never verifies anyone. An automated service compares your selfie with your profile photos. We ask for your separate consent in the app before you take the selfie, and the Privacy Policy explains how the selfie, the comparison and the biometric information involved are handled and deleted. Until you verify, discovery, matching and messaging may be paused; your account, conversations, settings, support and account deletion stay available.

A verified checkmark means the profile photos matched the person who took the selfie. It is not an identity-document check or a criminal-record check, and it does not mean that a member is safe. Meet in public places, tell someone where you are going (Share My Meet does this in one tap), and report anything that worries you from the person's profile. We review reports, but you are responsible for your own interactions and decisions.

6. Venues and businesses

Venues that claim a listing agree to keep it accurate, honour reservations they confirm, tables they hold and offers they post, and treat members fairly. Receipts for card payments are emailed to the billing address on file.

7. Plans, prices and billing

7.1 Plans and prices

The People plans are Free, iMeetPlace Plus and iMeetPlace Pro; the venue plans are Free Listing, Venue Access and Venue Pro. Free and Free Listing cost nothing. Each paid plan has a Standard price and, while Founding enrollment is open, a Founding price, and may be offered with monthly or annual billing. Before you confirm, the app shows the plan, what it includes, the exact price and currency, the billing period and the renewal terms. Prices are set in US dollars. The App Store and Google Play charge the price they show in your local currency, which may differ from the US dollar amount. Venue prices exclude any applicable tax.

7.2 Automatic renewal

A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period — every month for monthly billing, every year for annual billing — and is charged the price that applies to your subscription until you cancel. Annual billing charges twelve months upfront; allowances included with a plan (such as Concierge requests, Language Assist characters or Venue Pro Boosts) are renewed month by month during the year, not all at once.

7.3 Member plans (Plus and Pro)

Member plans are bought in the iMeetPlace app through the Apple App Store or Google Play and billed by Apple or Google under their terms. To cancel, open your App Store or Google Play subscription settings (Plans in the app links there) and cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. After you cancel, your plan continues until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your iMeetPlace account does not cancel a store subscription. Changes between plans or billing periods follow the store's rules, which the store shows before you confirm.

7.4 Venue plans (Venue Access and Venue Pro)

Venue plans are chosen on the venue's Plans screen and paid by card through our payment provider, Stripe: the first period is charged when you confirm and each renewal on the same date of the following month or year. Cancel at any time from the venue's Plans screen (Cancel renewal) or the secure billing page; the plan continues until the end of the paid period and nothing further is charged. A change to another venue plan or billing period takes effect immediately: the new plan's price is charged that day, a new billing period starts and the previous plan stops renewing.

7.5 Founding prices

Founding prices are offered for a limited enrollment window shown in the app: ninety days from the day paid purchasing opens, and, for a venue that is in its Venue Access trial, until the end of that trial. Your first successful payment at a Founding price locks that amount and billing period for as long as your paid membership stays continuous; we will not raise it while it stays locked.

If a renewal payment fails, your Founding price is protected for seven days while you update your payment details, with reminders. This protects the price only; it is not a general grace period for payment or access. Founding pricing ends if you cancel (when the paid period ends), if a payment is refunded or charged back, or if a failed payment is not fixed within the seven days. A later subscription uses the Standard price then shown in the app.

7.6 Venue Access trial

A newly verified venue receives a free trial of Venue Access for the period shown in the app (currently thirty days), starting when the verified venue's account is ready to use. No card is needed, nothing is charged, and the trial ends automatically. There is one trial per venue location: adding staff, claiming the listing again or recreating it does not start another. Venues that received a welcome period before this version keep the end date they were given. The trial is not a Founding price. When it ends without a paid plan, the venue continues on Free Listing as described in section 6.

7.7 Price changes

We may change prices for new purchases; the price shown before you confirm is the one that applies. For an existing subscription, we give you at least thirty days' notice, in the app or by email, before a new price applies at a renewal, so that you can cancel before it takes effect. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for, or to a Founding price while it stays locked. The App Store or Google Play may also ask for your agreement to an increase under their rules.

7.8 VIP, Boost and Language Assist passes

These are optional one-time purchases. Each is single-use, does not renew automatically, and is described with its price before you buy.

7.9 Refunds

Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are refunded through that store's refund process and under its policies; when a store refunds a purchase, the benefit it paid for ends (for example, a VIP block is released or the pass's remaining characters are removed). For venue card payments, contact us at contact-us@imeetplace.com; a refunded Boost loses its Sponsored label. Except where these terms say otherwise or the law requires, payments already made are not refunded for the unused part of a period after you cancel. Nothing in these terms limits a refund, cancellation or withdrawal right that the law where you live gives you.

7.10 Grow Your Orbit rewards

A reward month earned through Grow Your Orbit is used only when you redeem it in the app (Rewards › Apply or Redeem) before the expiry date shown on it. Rewards have no cash value and cannot be transferred.

8. Content and licence

You own what you post. You give iMeetPlace a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share your content within the service so the app can work (for example showing your photos to other members). We may remove content that breaks these terms.

9. Our service

We work hard to keep iMeetPlace available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any Meet will happen. iMeetPlace is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, iMeetPlace is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Me › Delete my account. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel it in your store settings as well. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

11. Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Before starting any claim, contact us at contact-us@imeetplace.com so we can try to resolve it. Any dispute that cannot be resolved will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect, and for a change that reduces your rights or changes what you pay we give at least thirty days' notice. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.
